Assignment 1
Josie Fieldman is a current sophomore at North Dakota State University. She was born and raised in Minnetonka, Minnesota, where she grew up playing a variety of sports. While she enjoyed basketball, baseball, and golf, soccer was her clear favorite. Her love for the game brought her to Fargo, where she is continuing to play soccer and receiving a college education. Growing up around sports inspired Fieldman to pursue a career in the field, as she is currently on course to finish a sports management degree by 2025. After finishing the undergraduate degree she has thought about the possibility of going back to school to receive a higher level of education. There have been no decisions made, though, as it is three years away.
Working well with others, determination, and leadership skills are some of Fieldman's biggest strengths. Any job in a sports organization would be the dream job for the soccer player from Minnesota. Working in the MLS (Major League Soccer) for the Minnesota United Football Club (MNUFC) is her goal. She would ideally like to be in the Twin Cities, where she could visit her favorite restaurant, Bacio, on a regular basis.
As a kid, Fieldman enjoyed spending time with family and friends. One of her best memories with family was going to the movie theater with her mom and brother twice a month. While she does not have a favorite, she enjoyed seeing all of the Pitch Perfect movies when they were released. She even saw Pitch Perfect 2, three times while it was still in theaters.
On top of the monthly movie trips, Fieldman has great memories from family vacations. Her favorite was the trip she took with her father to Israel, where they explored the country and learned the extensive history behind it. Some of her favorite activities on that trip included the many different hikes, snorkeling in Eilat, floating in the Dead Sea, and riding camels in the desert. She visited many cities across the country in her time there, such as Tel Aviv, Eilat, Jerusalem, and Haifa. Fieldman also remembers her yearly trip to Mexico with her grandparents and cousins. This is one of her favorite times of year because she gets to get out of the cold and snow, and spend time with family.
She enjoys traveling, spending time with friends and family, and doing anything outdoors. Going on the lake and hiking are two of her go-to activities in the summer time. She tries to go to as many soccer, football, and baseball games as she can. Unfortunately, being a college athlete can make that quite difficult.
Overall, Fieldman is looking forward to her future while taking time to enjoy the present.
