 Travel the World

If you ever find yourself searching for a purpose, or something to get excited about and look forward to, traveling might be just the answer. 

I have often found there are two types of people when it comes to the idea of traveling. Those who will do whatever it takes to make it happen, and those who either do not care much for travel, or make every excuse possible as to why it does not work. 

While travel might not be important to everyone, it is something that should really be prioritized and valued much more than it is. Travel, whether it is within your own country or the world, has such a positive impact on someone’s life and should be a goal for more people. 

After reading the article from Virtuoso, 10 Powerful Reasons Why People Love to Travel (https://www.virtuoso.com/travel/articles/10-powerful-reasons-why-people-love-to-travel), I have picked out four reasons why travel is important.

Reason number one, travel allows you to truly get in touch with yourself. Leaving the safety of your own home gives you the opportunity to get out of your comfort zone and experience new things. 

Reason number two, traveling makes you appreciate your life. It can be easy to get swept up in school, work and any other tasks that get thrown at you, but there is so much more to life than sitting at a desk all day. Travel gives you the opportunity to see that. 

I am not recommending you quit your job or drop out of school, but taking even one trip a year can help you appreciate the world a little more. 

Reason number three, travel forces you to simply have an adventure. Whether you are zip lining through a rainforest, on a safari in Africa or even visiting every ballpark in the country, anything can be an adventure. It is what you make of it.

Reason number four, travel allows you to expand your perspective and see different cultures. I spent two weeks in Israel one summer. It was the best two weeks of my life, as my eyes were opened to different cultures. 

Sometimes it can be easy to forget that the way of life we are used to is not the same for everyone across the world. It is important to experience different ways of life. 

You can not put a price on travel, as every experience and adventure is different. While not every person may have an interest in travel, the next time you try to make an excuse for all the reasons it won’t work, consider all the positives that can come with it.
